CeMAP 3 mock exams & practice papers
CeMAP 3 is still called CeMAP 3. Its assessment code is now ASEW in England and Wales, or ASSC in Scotland — you sit one, not both. Older material calls it ASSM.
What CeMAP 3 is called now
CeMAP 3 kept its name through the September 2025 restructure, but its assessment code changed: it is now ASEW (England and Wales) or ASSC (Scotland), and a candidate sits whichever applies to them. Anything still calling it ASSM predates the restructure. The exam itself is unchanged and is the one that feels different from everything before it: six realistic client case studies with ten linked questions each, 60 questions over two hours, 70% to pass. It introduces no new material. Instead it tests whether you can apply the whole syllabus to a specific client and pick the most suitable answer when several options are technically true — which is why people who sailed through the knowledge papers can still come unstuck here.
ASSM is the old code. If your notes, your provider or an older mock paper says ASSM, they mean ASEW or ASSC — the same exam under its current name.

The final hurdle and the one that feels different: six realistic client case studies, ten questions each, two hours. Since the September 2025 restructure the assessment is coded ASEW (England and Wales) or ASSC (Scotland) — you sit one, not both, and older material calls it ASSM. It doesn't introduce new material; it tests whether you can apply all of it to a specific client, choosing the most suitable answer when several options are technically true. Judgement, timing and careful reading are what pass it.
