What CeMAP 3 is called now
CeMAP 3 kept its name through the September 2025 restructure, but its assessment code changed: it is now ASEW (England and Wales) or ASSC (Scotland), and a candidate sits whichever applies to them. Anything still calling it ASSM predates the restructure. The exam itself is unchanged and is the one that feels different from everything before it: six realistic client case studies with ten linked questions each, 60 questions over two hours, 70% to pass. It introduces no new material. Instead it tests whether you can apply the whole syllabus to a specific client and pick the most suitable answer when several options are technically true — which is why people who sailed through the knowledge papers can still come unstuck here.
ASSM is the old code. If your notes, your provider or an older mock paper says ASSM, they mean ASEW or ASSC — the same exam under its current name.

Where can I find a CeMAP 3 mock test?
Here. Paper 1 is free in full — six client case studies, ten linked questions each, two hours, 70% to pass. Seven further timed papers follow the same ASEW/ASSC format (older material calls it ASSM). Every paper has a free 5-question preview if you want a quicker look first.
Are there official CeMAP 3 past papers?
No. The LIBF does not release live papers for ASEW or ASSC. It publishes specimen material and includes a Practice Exam with registration. These mocks copy the case-study format and difficulty; they are not reproductions of awarding-body questions.
